MEMS in the Onlife era: the promise of smarter devices and improved energy efficiency

MEMS and actuators with intelligent processing are fueling the Onlife Era, where innovative products with smart sensors are able to sense, process, and take actions, bridging the online and offline worlds.

However, with sustainability considerations at the forefront of today’s concerns, increasing the intelligence of devices must not raise power consumption. The fusion of sensors and AI puts electronic decision-making in the application Edge, cutting power consumption by up to 80%.

With the introduction of the Intelligent Sensing Processing Unit (ISPU) and its latest innovations in AR/VR, ST addresses the challenges of creating smarter, more sustainable products.
